Alumni Coffeehouse Schedule - Renn Fayre 2005

The Alumni Coffeehouse takes over Vollum Gallery / Lounge throughout Renn Fayre weekend. Stocking decorative craft supplies, tea, coffee, munchables, board games, music galore and you, our patrons!

 

Friday 1PM - 3:30 The Coffeehouse starts the percolation just in time to help you get your costume on for the Fayre. Add that extra dash to your celebratory attire! We'll have makings for sparkly head wreaths, funny bracelets, weathergrams, prayer flags, and whatever your imagination can come up with. We'll even have materials and instructions for making your own hula-hoops!! All ages welcome, children too!

Friday 5:30 Open for post parade coffee, tea and treats!

Friday 7:45 - 8:45 Will Morgan '88 showcases new tunes recently bled out in a songwriting class. Hear the few that got past Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger, Carrie Akre of Goodness and Jon Auer of the Posies and REM 's coaching, as well as some old favorites. One guitar, one voice and live looping.

Friday 9:00 – Midnight close, Strange Country (Formerly Grants Tooth ): Justin Miller '90, Marc Visnick '91, Stu Margolis '93, Phil Bender '91, Rob Coleman '92, Tim Ritchey, and Tooth Harper (a.k.a. Marty Danzer), serve up their unique turf of grass roots folk. Back by popular demand for an unprecedented fourth year!

 

Saturday 9:00AM- 10:15 Yoga with Will: Start your day with a basic body awareness and movement practice friendly to all skill levels. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat if you have one.

Saturday Noon - Coffeehouse opens for more treats, music, games and crafts!

Saturday 2:00 - 5:00 Open Mic with a CD Pressing of your tune. Bring your self and an instrument to the amps and microphones; if the anticipated gear is functional we'll record your song and burn a CD of it for you to share over LimeWire.

Saturday 7:00 - 9:00 Long time nationally touring Mark Petteys '85 brings his Banjo, along with Top Ten National Flat-picking Contestant Jim "Fester" Reid, to the Coffeehouse for their unique swing at traditional country, bluegrass and more.

Saturday 10:30 - Sunday 1:00AM Post glow-op DJ \m/ will load the decks with Chill Up, Trip hop, RnB, House, Disco and Dance Hall as demanded to best accompany your mid night's roving dance party and or checkers playing visit to the coffeehouse.

 

Sunday 9:00AM - 10:15 Yoga with Will. Touch earth and mindfully stretch those tight standing and dancing muscles with the big G's help. Soothe and strengthen your mind-body with another basic short-meditation and asana session.

Sunday Noon - Coffeehouse Opens for YET MORE carrots, celery, games and crafts.

Sunday 5:00PM Coffeehouse closes.
